Justin Mann
Dance Instructor/Choreographer
Justin Mann is an award-winning choreographer, educator, and mentor from Charlotte, North Carolina. Throughout his career, he has earned national recognition for his innovative choreography, technical excellence, and ability to inspire dancers of all ages.
Justin's students have gone on to perform alongside internationally recognized artists including Justin Timberlake, Jason Derulo, and Joe Jonas. They have also appeared in acclaimed Broadway productions such as Hamilton, Spamalot, Jagged Little Pill, and A Chorus Line. In addition to his work in competitive dance, Justin has created original choreography for the Chicago-based professional dance company Inaside.
His choreography has earned countless national titles, top overall awards, and industry recognition. Justin has been honored with multiple "Choreographer of the Year" awards throughout his career, and one of his proudest achievements was being named Dance Magazine's Teacher of the Year, a testament to both his artistry and his dedication to developing the next generation of dancers.
Justin has been an important part of the Lake Norman Dance Gallery family for many years. He served as a full-time faculty member from 2010–2020, where he choreographed numerous award-winning group routines and nationally recognized solos. Even after his full-time tenure, he continued returning as a guest choreographer, helping shape the success of LNDG dancers season after season.
Most recently, during the 2026 competition season, Justin choreographed the Senior Large Group "Next to You," which earned numerous Overall High Score awards and top adjudications throughout the season. He also choreographed the Teen Small Group "Memory," which captured 1st Overall Crystal at Showstopper Nationals in Myrtle Beach.
Justin is thrilled to officially return to Lake Norman Dance Gallery as a full-time faculty member for Season 28. He is passionate about helping every dancer reach their highest potential by building strong technical foundations, fostering confidence and artistry, and creating a positive, motivating training environment. Justin looks forward to inspiring the next generation of LNDG dancers while helping continue the studio's tradition of excellence, teamwork, and national success.
